BPS® Expertise Meets Digital Technology

BPS®—Biofunctional Prosthetic System—is Ivoclar’s coordinated system of clinical techniques, equipment and materials for creating personalized dentures. These established principles also form the foundation of Ivoclar’s digital denture workflow.

At Pacific Denture Centre, we combine this approach with digital design and our Ivoclar PrograMill PM7, a precision five-axis milling machine. Your clinical records guide the design, and the PM7 mills your denture components from industrially manufactured material discs, often called pucks. Your denturist then finishes and assesses your denture for fit, bite and appearance.

The Full Ivoclar Denture Disc Range

We use the full range of Ivoclar denture milling discs, allowing us to select the materials and fabrication approach suited to your treatment:

• Ivotion: Combines tooth-coloured and gum-coloured materials in one disc, allowing a complete denture to be milled as a single piece without a separate bonding step between the teeth and base.

• Ivotion Base: A strong, high-impact acrylic used to mill customized denture bases.

• Ivotion Dent: A wear-resistant tooth material with natural fluorescence and translucency.

• Ivotion Dent Multi: A multilayered tooth material with a gradual colour transition that helps recreate the appearance of natural teeth.

Milling from preprocessed discs avoids the acrylic-curing shrinkage that can occur during conventional denture fabrication. This helps accurately reproduce the planned denture shape.

Digital design also allows careful control of tooth positioning and denture contours. Combined with detailed impressions, accurate bite records and an individual fitting, this supports a comfortable, functional result.
